Full Transparency: 2026 DAAPWorks Pitch | Branding, Identity, Motion, Environmental, Media
Tasked with pitching an all-encompassing brand identity for the Communication Design Senior showcase, aka DAAPWorks, "Full Transparency, Changing How We See" not only addresses the Capstone projects of each student, but also the core of who the Communication Design Class of 2026 truly is.
Project Members: Elizabeth Bonbright, Zoe Buckendahl, Jayne Harlan, Kiva Lefors, Rafaela Schomburgk, Ellie Tranter
Brand Story and Tone
Before developing the visual system, first came establishing the core values and communication styles of the brand. The team explored how to narrate the story of the Communication Design class, overarching project themes, and a connection to the range of audiences set to attend DAAPWorks.
Visual Identity
Once creating a concrete understanding of how the brand would function and communicate through written formats, next came the critical step of visualizing transparent design. The team chose to prioritize a simplified color palette paired with detailed and iris-oriented motifs to communicate the theme.
